The Regulator 29 FS

The Regulator 29FS is the newest boat in the Regulator fleet of renowned center console offshore sportfishing boats. Award-winning naval designer Lou Codega engineered the all-new 29 using the latest in marine design technology…and the result is a new classic born into the Regulator family of quality sportfishers.

At 29’ long and 9’6” wide, the 29 FS sports a lot of room and comfort for crew. It comes standard with 360-degree padded combing and padded forward seating above twin 200-quart insulated fish boxes or dry storage, a huge 520-quart insulated box with locking storage for eight rods, a 64-quart beverage cooler beneath the forward console seat, and two in-deck step storage lockers that can each hold a five-gallon bucket. In the transom, an 84-quart insulated bait box flanks a 30-gallon recirculating livewell. A 20-gallon freshwater washdown system is standard.

The center console is the heart of the 29FS, which offers a fully finished liner in its marine toilet with 6’3” headroom. The console’s helm control panel features full-width electronics storage behind a lockable door. Two 10-inch displays and other smaller units can be flush-mounted, with wiring for the electronics easily accessible from inside the console. Yamaha’s Command Link™ Digital Network has a tach, speedometer and other digital gauges to help monitor critical engine performance. Hydraulic steering is standard, while an optional stainless steel Edson® wheel with Power Knob and Teleflex® tilt wheel and power-assist steering can be added for easier handling. Dry storage under the console and a glove box are handy for storing small items from the weather.

The standard padded leaning post has two nice optional configurations: the SuperSport leaning post that holds nine rods and has a flip-over seat for storage underneath; or leaning post with integral tackle center and folding backrest/footrest. The cockpit behind the console contains an impressive amount of space, with room enough for four people to fish comfortably even in less than ideal conditions.

A flip-door and transom walkthrough allows easy boarding and access to the twin Yamaha® F250 four-stroke outboard engines. The dual fill 285-gallon fuel tank goes a long way, but an optional 34-gallon auxiliary tank can take you even farther.

Add style and protection from the elements with the fiberglass T-top – one of the finest production-built tops on the market today – that has a prewired electronic box and can be ordered with an underside to match your hull color. A three-sided spray enclosure is a nice option offering total protection at the helm from the elements, and a folding rear seat can add even more seating.
